What is a pulse test?
Pulse diagnosis is one of the oldest and at the same time the most effective examination methods. The pulse is a carrier of information about the current state of health of our body, mind and energy, which is why it allows for a thorough and detailed observation of the functioning of the whole organism. This enables the correct diagnosis of the source of the disease/disease. Chinese pulse diagnostics in the case of preventive health care is a routine activity. The result of the examination determines the selection of appropriate treatment, diet and preparations.
Ayurveda views health in a holistic way because every organ in the body, every tissue or structure is interconnected and influences one another. Moreover, the physical body is also connected to the emotions and the mind. If one of these levels is out of balance, it will have negative effects on the others.
Putting the correct diagnosis consists in knowing and properly interpreting the information contained in the pulse. An expert in Ayurvedic medicine conducts an examination by placing three fingers on the wrist. This technique is completely painless and non-invasive. Its effectiveness depends on the precision, knowledge and experience of a specialist.
The most important information read from the pulse is prakriti (constitution/our nature) and vikriti (dosha imbalance). In order to determine the path to health, a reference point or prakriti is necessary.
Prakriti is an individual combination of three doshas that are determined by the elements. There are three basic doshas: Vata (space and air), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (water and earth). Maintaining the correct proportion between them allows you to maintain good health.
