What is and how does music therapy work?
It has long been known that music can affect our mood, but scientific research in this direction began only in the 1920s. Music can relax, energize, evoke memories, therefore it has great therapeutic potential. In addition, specific sounds affect our body in a specific way. So how does Ayurveda view music therapy? Dr. Saurabh Pardeshi discusses what music therapy is, how it relates to the five elements, and what instruments balance each chakra.

Film translation – music therapy

Hi, my dears. This is Dr. Saurabh Pardeshi, Ayurveda doctor. Today we will talk about music therapy.
Music therapy is nothing more than using special types of sounds to heal the body and mind.
Our human body is a complex mechanism. According to Ayurveda consists of three main elements: body, mind and energy. We have five elements: space, air, fire, water and earth. Each element corresponds to a specific organ. Thus, if you are talking about the ear, the ear is composed of the element Aether. What is his specialty? It is the first element that was created. All other elements were then created from it.

Chakra balancing with music therapy

Using music is nothing more than a very deep work with the element of space. Music is nothing more than using your voice, using instruments. Thus, we have three basic types of instruments – one is a percussion instrument, another is a stringed instrument, and the third is a wind instrument.

Percussion instruments balance your first, second and third chakras.

Stringed instruments balance the fourth and fifth chakras.

And wind instruments like the flute balance the sixth and seventh chakras.

So that’s how music therapy works. So let’s talk more about it in our future videos. See you and have a nice day, bye bye.

Music accompanies most of us on a daily basis. Access to it in the current technological world is very easy, so we can take advantage of its beneficial properties at any time.
