Hi, my dears. Today’s topic is about how to choose a profession. It’s a very interesting thing. Even I am an example, because since childhood I was very confused about what profession to choose. Until now, I meet many friends, many patients, and we always talk about how to choose a profession. What profession is best for me? And I think you have the same problem too, right? Let’s see what Ayurveda says about it.
To understand this, we need to go back to the origins of Ayurveda and the basic principles of Ayurveda. Ayurveda talks about the doshas, it talks about individual people, about the individual person. Ayurveda does not generalize. There are three types of constitution – air, fire and water. Now let’s talk more about this.
How to choose a profession based on doshas?
Air personalities are always faster people. Their mind is faster. They always think too much, they always plan too much. They are very creative and innovative. Compared to them, the fire type has more leadership qualities. Such people are active, dynamic, perfectionists. And the third constitution is water type. These people have a slow nature and like to settle down.
So you see that nature has given you your basic character, and based on that you can see what type of work you should choose. Imagine, for example, that your constitution is air – then you should choose creative work. Today these are professions such as fashion designer, graphic designer, architect, painter, artist. They are none other than Vata people. Fire people (Pitta) are very strong, active, dynamic. These people are successful leaders, managers and bosses. And the third category is water, which is the Kapha constitution. These people like stability, they are good at caring and nurturing, so they do not want to take any leadership, managerial or creative activities, they like to take care of themselves and others. So they are good healers, they are good doctors, so they will be more successful in those areas. You see? Ayurveda talks about it in a very nice way. It’s just that we have to put in a little effort on our part to find out what constitution we have, right? So let’s see. Have a nice day, goodbye.
